VIVALDI is a European scientific project, financed in the framework of the EU Research and Development programme called Horizon 2020. It is carried out by a consortium of 21 partners, from 10 countries. It will last 4 years, till February 2020. VIVALDI’s overarching purpose is to increase the sustainability and competitiveness of the European shellfish industry. For this, it will aim at improving the understanding of the diseases and developing practical solutions to prevent, control and manage them. The main species to be studied will be: oysters, mussels, clams and scallops.
