After a technical degree in biochemistry sustained in 1988, my career started in the start-up Lynatech (French subsidiary Sangstat Medical Corporation) specialized in the synthesis of transplant anti-rejection fusion proteins. In 1993, I joined the Company Atlangene, the first genetic fingerprint laboratory in Europe, where I developed tools for the identification of individuals from original media such as cigarettes or soda cans. This experience in molecular biology gave me the opportunity to integrate in February 1995 the Biotechnology Laboratory of Ifremer in Brest. The objective of the laboratory was the exploitation in the frame of industrial partnership of the collection of microorganisms for the characterization of enzymes with high added value. In September 2003, I joined the Genome Population Interaction Adaptation laboratory, UMR Ifremer, CNRS, University of Montpellier 2 in Sete (now ISEM) and developed researches on the genetic structure of the common sole solea solea in Europe and penaeid shrimp in Thailand. In January 2006, I joined the Ecology of coastal marine systems laboratory, UMR Ifremer, CNRS, University of Montpellier 1 and 2, IRD in which I did my PhD on the characterization of a new antimicrobial peptides family from the shrimp Litopeneaus stylirostris.
Since 2010 my research focuses on the study of the effects of toxins-producers dinoflagellates on the defense system of the oyster Crassostrea gigas.
2010 – Ph.D Microbiology and Parasitology (University of Montpellier II, France)
2001 – Degree of research in Biotechnology (University of technology, Compiegne, France)
1999 –  Degree of initiation to research (EPHE, Sorbonne, Paris, France)
1991 – Degree in molecular biology(Université of Nantes, France)
1988 – Degree in Biochemistry (National School of Chemistry, physic and biology, Paris, France)
