DOMAINE D’EXPERTISE-RECHERCHE :
Mon intérêt de recherche est d’essayer de répondre à la question  « Comment les signaux environnementaux façonnent la biologie du développement de l’hôte-parasite ». Mon domaine d’expertise concerne les disciplines interdépendantes de la parasitologie, de l’épigénétique et de la régulation des gènes. Mes intérêts de recherche comprennent des investigations sur le terrain et en laboratoire, soutenues par des approches intégratives pour déchiffrer les mécanismes moléculaires de l’évolution hôte-parasite, en particulier liés aux modèles expérimentaux d’infection par les schistosomes. Je souhaite développer des projets visant à décrypter les liens entre les changements climatiques, la qualité de l’eau douce et le développement des maladies tropicales parasitaires. Ensemble, toutes les approches menées constitueront une étape importante vers la mise en œuvre de la biologie des systèmes et des modèles mathématiques pour prédire la compétence des parasites dans les systèmes biologiques. Je prévois que l’utilisation de stratégies complémentaires permettra de progresser dans le développement de nouvelles méthodes pour prédire et contrôler les interactions hôte-pathogène.
