DOMAINE D’EXPERTISE-RECHERCHE :
Mes projets et activités de recherche se concentrent sur l’étude de la biologie cellulaire des interactions hôtes-pathogènes à l’interface entre l’immunologie et la microbiologie dans un contexte évolutif et écologique.
Je travaille depuis de nombreuses années sur la biologie cellulaire des phagocytes et l’immunité innée en interaction avec des bactéries pathogènes comme les Vibrios et sur des modèles multiples (allant des amibes libres aux invertébrés et vertébrés) avec un intérêt particulier pour l’immunologie comparée et l’évolution des mécanismes de virulence chez les bactéries pathogènes. Les approches développées sont interdisciplinaires et multi-échelles.
Actuellement je suis particulièrement intéressé par l’étude l’immunité cellulaire autonome ainsi que l’étude de la diversité des interactions amibes-vibrios dans l’environnement marin.
