DOMAINE D’EXPERTISE :
Je suis intéressée par l’étude des maladies infectieuses, l’écologie parasitaire, l’épidémiologie et les interactions hôte-parasite à différents niveaux : moléculaire, cellulaire, immunologique, écologique et évolutif. La majeure partie de ma recherche a été focalisée sur Fasciola hepatica, à savoir : la surveillance de sa transmission –particulièrement par le développement de nouveaux outils de détection (PCR et ELISAs)–, son contrôle et son interaction avec ses hôtes. J’ai collaboré sur d’autres projets concernant des autres parasites e.g. Leishmania, T. vaginalis, A. cantonensis, paramphistomids, trématodes de la faune sauvage. En plus, j’ai été impliquée dans la caractérisation des peptides antimicrobiens pour développer des nouvelles variantes antibiotiques. J’ai un large nombre des compétences en laboratoire (e.g. de la purification des protéines, de la génération /caractérisation des AcM, de développement des méthodes diagnostiques, et de la biologie cellulaire et moléculaire (y compris des ‘omiques’), et des compétences pour des études expérimentales en utilisant des modèles biologiques, de la bio-informatique et du travail du terrain
