DOMAINE D’EXPERTISE-RECHERCHE :
Je suis directrice adjointe du laboratoire « Interactions Hôtes-Pathogènes-Environnements ».
Notre laboratoire s’intéresse aux mécanismes, à l’évolution et à la dynamique des écosystèmes conduisant à l’apparition d’agents infectieux, à leur dissémination et à leur extinction dans les habitats naturels et les hôtes.
Mes recherches personnelles portent sur les multiples facteurs des hôtes et des pathogènes contribuant à l’émergence de maladies infectieuses dans les milieux marins soumis aux changements environnementaux. Au cours de ma carrière, j’ai étudié l’immunité des invertébrés marins (crustacés et mollusques) et les maladies qui les affectent. J’ai notamment étudié les interactions entre les Vibrionaceae et le système immunitaire des bivalves marins sous contrainte environnementale.
J’ai présidé des conférences internationales sur les peptides antimicrobiens (AMP2016), ainsi que la prochaine conférence Gordon sur les peptides antimicrobiens (2025). J’ai également organisé des conférences nationales sur l’immunité des invertébrés (Immuninv).
De 2017 à 2022, j’ai été chargée de mission pour le CNRS pour promouvoir la recherche au nexus Santé-Environnement (cadre One Health / EcoHealth).
Depuis 2022, je me suis engagée dans la construction de la Zone Atelier Santé Environnement Camargue récemment labellisée par le CNRS.
Mes projets actuels portent sur (i) l’adaptation des Vibrio à l’huître en tant qu’hôte, y compris sur la base de leur résistance aux antimicrobiens ; (ii) les cancers transmissibles chez les moules ; (iii) la résistance aux antimicrobiens dans les milieux marins utilisés pour l’ostréiculture.
